Join us! The Fawn Lake Community Association (FLCA) offers numerous seasonal groups, clubs and fee-based classes for our residents to enjoy.

Below you’ll find the description and mission statement for each club. Membership in any of the FLCA recognized clubs is open to all Fawn Lake property owners. If you’re interested in getting involved, contact the member listed to ask for details, or fill out a membership application via the Member Website.

Needlework Club

If you like to knit, quilt, cross stitch, crochet, needlepoint, embroider, smock or do any other handwork, the Needlework Club is for you! Members bring their unfinished projects and join for bi-monthly meetings in the Clubhouse.

PAWS Club

The PAWS Club manages the Dog Park, which is a very safe place for pets to run and play. Dogs and owners alike enjoy the mowed insect treated grass, cold water, doggie bags and tennis balls. All dogs in the community are registered and as a community service PAWS help locate missing pets.

Ladies Bible Study

The Ladies Bible Study group meets monthly for a Christian, Bible-based study. New members are always welcome.

Happy Painters Club

Do you enjoy painting or have the desire to learn? The Happy Painters Club is for you. Members meet weekly on individual projects but also offer seasonal themed classes for anyone interested in attending.

Alley Cats/Spin Offs

The Alley Cats, a Ladies’ Bowling League, hits the lanes bi-monthly beginning in early September through early April. The Spin Offs, a Coed Summer League, bowls on Mondays beginning in May through August. All levels of bowlers are welcome to join.

Fawn Lake Mens Bowling League

Join the Bowling League for fun, exercise, friendly competition and camaraderie during the winter months. The league is handicapped and bowlers of all skill levels are welcome to join.

Fitness Classes

Whether it’s HIIT, Barre, Yoga, Strength Training or Cardio, Fawn Lake offers a variety of scheduled classes throughout the week. Be sure to check out the Calendar of Events and FLCA site for a complete list of options.

Adult Christian Fellowship Club

The Adult Christian Fellowship Club meets in the Community Clubhouse. MCF welcomes men of all denominations and faiths to come together for fellowship, Bible study and prayer each Wednesday and Saturday.

Yacht Club

A social club for all ages with or without a boat. The FLYC sponsors several annual neighborhood events with an emphasis on good times and great friends.

Global Affairs Discussion Group

The global Affairs discussion Group is a nonpartisan group that meets to discuss international topics and and materials provided by the Foreign Policy Association.

Homeschoolers Club

Homeschooling can be isolating, so why not join other parents on the same journey. If you’re a homeschooler, interested in homeschooling, or have a skill you would like to share with young children consider joining the Homeschooling Club.

Mahjongg Mavens

The Mahjongg Mavens play mahjongg in an upbeat, social environment.

Pickleball Club

Pickleball Club is an enthusiastic group who loves to play pickleball for fun. They meet most mornings as weather permits.

Fawn Lake Community Garden Plotters

The Fawn Lake Community Garden Plotters share gardening ideas and together maintain a Food Bank plot.

Fawn Lake Running Club

Fawn Lake Running Club wants to unite runners (and trotters and joggers) of all ages and abilities for recreational running and fun

Garden and Home Club

The Garden and Home Club meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Pole Barn. They host a variety of classes and gatherings throughout the year and always welcome new members.

Quilters Club

If your an avid quilter or jsut starting out the The Fawn Lake Quilters welcomes members to meet in the Boardroom at the Community Clubhouse.

Book Club

The Fawn Lake Book Club meets in the Community Clubhouse the first Wednesday of each month. If you’re unable to attend  you may browse or check out one of the 1800+ paperback and hardback books in the Clubhouse. We stock mostly fiction, biography and nonfiction for residents to enjoy.

Men’s Christian Fellowship (MCF)

The MCF provides an organized forum for Christian men to grow spiritually in their daily walk and to come to know one another better through regular fellowship. MCF welcomes all men of all faiths and denominations to come together with us for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

MusiConnection

Those interested in attending musical events or joining a musical organization such as the Rappahannock Pops or Fredericksburg Community Concert Band are invited to join MusiConnection.

Fawn Lake Ski Club

The Ski Club meets most Saturday mornings at the marina throughout the summer to practice for their annual ski show, right here in Fawn Lake.

Suppers for Seven

Suppers for Seven is a wonderful dining experience among friends. The purpose is fellowship – a chance to get to know more of your Fawn Lake neighbors. Participants are placed in a group of four couples or singles and meet four times, once in each of the participants’ homes. The hosts provide the entrée and the others bring another part of the meal (appetizer, salad, dessert). New residents are especially welcomed, as are singles.

Fawn Lake Sports Fishing Club

The Sport Fishing club meets the third Tuesday of each month in the Clubhouse. Its mission is to promote responsible fishing and sustainment of a healthy fish population. The club is open to all adult residents but offers seasonal events for resident children as well.

Duplicate Bridge

Duplicate Bridge meets on the second Friday of the month at 6:30 in the Clubhouse. They hold duplicate bridge tournaments and enjoy social interaction while playing the game they love.

Creative Block Makers

Creative Block Makers meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 9:00am in the Community Clubhouse. They share and work on their own quilt creations, techniques, and personal projects.

Girl Scout Troop

Girl Scout Troop provides leadership development for girls of all ages. The inclusive, all-female environment of a Girl Scout troop creates a safe space where girls can try new things, develop a range of skills, take on leadership roles, and just be themselves.

Fawn Lake Fliers Swim Team

Fliers Swim Team provides a great opportunity for Fawn Lake kids to enjoy and benefit from swimming and swim meets.

Triathlon Planning Committee

Triathlon Committee organizes and executes the annual Fawn Lake Triathlon.

Veterans Group

Veterans Group’s purpose is honoring military service as well as community service to Veterans.

If you would like to establish a new group or club, please submit a written request to the Commons Committee via the application on our Member Website. Please note: new groups must contain a minimum of 10 members, and at least 90 percent of them must be Fawn Lake property owners (although 100 percent is preferred). Why? Because FLCA recognized clubs are designed to enhance community living for Fawn Lake residents. Membership should be a perk of living here.
